So I don’t usually like these “inspirational” quotes but this is one that runs deep for me. I get asked so much why I haven’t settled or bought a house and I find it hard to explain to someone who doesn’t think like me…. but I guess in the end this quote would just do it, maybe I should just carry it with me.
A bit about us……We are a family of 4 from the U.K. trying to change the perceptions of family travel. This is not your run of the mill family travel blog-we don’t tend to write about places that most family travel blogs cover. We prefer lesser known, adventurous travel and try and achieve our dreams on a budget.
No kids? No problem! Most of our guides are tailored to adults too, after all half of our family is made up of grown ups and we do sometimes take trips minus the small people. Oh also, if you like food you will enjoy it here. Most of my itineraries revolve around food and the restaurants I want to visit.
So who are we? So I’m Bex (aka Bexy) and I love food, random theme parks, mountains, lesser travelled destinations, animal encounters, Disney and all things Asia. My dream destinations include; Uzbekistan, China, Antarctica, Jordan, Canada and Alaska to name a few.
Ben is the Baby Daddy and he is probably more of a reluctant traveller but is a good sport and dives in anyway. He loves nice scenery, cycling, golf, cricket (basically he loves sport) and he is also loves finding foodie gems.
Paddy is our 5 year old. He loves swimming, TV, all things sweet (the boy will eat cake everyday), loves shopping, he’s a gentle soul and definitely the more cautious of our boys.
Rafferty (aka Raffii) is our mini at 4 and he loves sport, animals, exploring and is mostly fearless. He also has an abundance of energy and generally does the opposite to anything we ask. He is an absolute joker and lives for making people laugh.
I decided to blog not because I am a good photographer, writer or glamourous person who looks incredible in these nice places, I certainly am not here to make people feel rubbish or jealous but to hopefully inspire people to try something different. We tend to travel to less touristy places, partly to make our money stretch and partly to see a different way of life.
